INGREDIENTS
- 2 cups Water
- 4 Liquorice sticks
- 2 Cinnamons sticks
- ¼ cup Light soy sauce
- ¼ cup Chinese wine
- 5 hard-boiled Eggs
- 20 grams Rock sugar
- 3 Garlic cloves, crushed
- 2 Ginger slices
- 1 sachet Tea leaf (in a tea bag)
METHOD
- In a large pot, mix the water with the liquorice and cinnamon sticks, boil for a few minutes.
- Then, add the soy sauce and Chinese wine.
- In the same pot, put the cooked eggs in with the shell intact and the remaining ingredients together and cook on low heat for 3 hours 30 minutes.
- Leave to rest, cool then serve hot or at room temperature.
